O Centolo Restaurant is one of Fisterra’s classics. Open since 1985, maintaining high-quality produce and service, it’s a sure bet if you’re looking for a seafood platter. The cuisine is traditional, based on the freshness of both its seafood and its fish and meat, with minimal seasoning so as not to overshadow the product. The dining room is spacious and boasts views of the port.
Starters have several options: barnacles, clams, scallops, longueirón and fisterra, calamari, lobster salpicón, or squid croquettes in their own ink are just a few. Their salads, both cold and warm, are also outstanding.
One of the specialties is seafood platters, both regular and with lobster, and the seasonal fish casserole.
Rice dishes also have their place à la carte, such as the typical rice with or black rice with cuttlefish and cockles.
Another option is fish. In addition to the casserole, you can enjoy a delicious turbot, monkfish, sole, or the lesser-known but delicious coruxo or San martiño.
In the meat section, the beef entrecote or the stewed lamb are delicious.
Save room for dessert and enjoy the cheese with quince jelly, the cheesecake, the French toast, or the typical creamy canitas.
At O Centolo, the quality of the product and service are in line with the price. It’s not cheap, but it’s highly recommended.
