Miramar Restaurant is an institution in Corme. Founded in 1851 as an inn, it became a restaurant and eateries in 1930, under the name of Manuel Fernández Fernández and his wife and cook María Justa Amor Lema. They obtained their first license as Fonda Miramar in 1964. The Miramar dance hall opened on Christmas Eve in 1945. Currently, Miramar Restaurant is run by his grandson Manuel and his wife Mina.
So, we find ourselves in a traditional restaurant. As it is one of the few in Corme, it is necessary to make a reservation during high season and, if possible, book near the large window overlooking the entire estuary.
On the menu, our choice is clear: some good Roncudo barnacles, an octopus, and the freshest grilled or stewed fish.
Don’t be swayed by our choice, either, because they have many other options on the menu: a good seafood salpicón, clams a la marinera, baby squid, razor clams, or several types of rice will leave you very satisfied.
