Taberna da Bouza is located on the outskirts of Ponteceso, offering traditional cuisine with a twist in a quiet and very comfortable space, surrounded by trees. The friendly staff provides excellent service with the invaluable help of a robot.
Their specialty is meat, using a Castilian-style wood-fired oven, where pieces of suckling lamb, premium beef, and other delicacies are roasted with great care and time.
Some of the starters you can try are spider crab croquettes, scallops, razor clams, octopus, a delicious crispy prawn, monkfish and lobster salpicón, or a grilled seasonal vegetables.
But let’s go with its strong point. The suckling lamb has a flavor and texture that is a true delight. The slow-roasted ribs of old cow also produce a very tender and flavorful meat. The beef is also offered as a ribeye or churrasco.
In addition to the meat, we can enjoy seafood or lobster rice.
The desserts are delicious. The tiramisu cake, the chocolate coulant, or the French toast with nougat ice cream are the perfect ending.
In short, a culinary experience unlike what we’re used to on the Costa da Morte.
