Hotel Rústico Lugar do Cotariño

Welcome to the Hotel Rústico Lugar do Cotariño. Rural tourism, tradition, and comfort in the heart of the Costa da Morte. This village is located 2 kilometers (a 25-minute walk) from Praza do Curbeiro in Camariñas.

Rural tourism in a village of three houses (all three occupied by the hotel) among eucalyptus trees, pine forests, and cornfields, a short distance from the estuary beaches and the Costa de Reira (Cabo Vilán Natural Site, part of the Natura 2000 Network).

HABITACIONES

We have 7 rooms spread across the three houses. Each combines wooden ceilings and stone walls with rustic-modern furnishings, making them a pleasure to relax in.

The central module houses the two special rooms: Alca on the first floor and Arao on the second floor, the latter with a sloping ceiling. Both are accessed via a wooden staircase from the reception area and have a whirlpool tub and a small seating area.

In another module, we have four double rooms: Alcatraz and Gaviota on the upper floor, with sloping ceilings and a connecting hallway, ideal for a family with children. On the ground floor are Flamingo and Puffin rooms, both with separate entrances and a small garden.

In the third module, we have a room adapted for people with reduced mobility. It is accessed from the garden without any steps, also with a separate entrance, a spacious bathroom, and views of the countryside.

All rooms have the option of adding an extra bed.

ALCA
Spacious first-floor room, located in the main house, more than 3 centuries old, featuring a seating area with a sofa bed, a 1.50 by 2 meter double bed, a bathroom with a whirlpool tub, wooden ceilings, stone walls, and views of the garden and forest.

ARAO
Attic room, on the second floor of the main house, featuring a seating area with a sofa bed and two 1.05 by 2 meter single beds pushed together. Elegant decor with wooden ceilings and stone walls, beautiful views of the countryside, and a whirlpool tub.

GAVIOTA
Gaviota and Alcatraz are connected by a hallway, making them ideal for families. Located on the upper floor, it has a sloping wooden ceiling, stone walls, and beautiful views of the countryside, 1.05 x 2-meter beds, and a whirlpool bathtub.

ALCATRAZ
The Seagull and Alcatraz rooms are connected by a hallway, making them ideal for families. Located on the upper floor, it has a sloping wooden ceiling, stone walls, a large walk-in shower, forest views, and a 1.50 x 2-meter double bed.

FLAMENCO
This room is located on the lower floor with a completely separate entrance, views of the countryside, and a small adjoining garden. It has a wooden ceiling and stone walls. It has two 1.05 x 2-meter beds pushed together and a walk-in shower.

FRAILECILLO
Puffin is located on the lower floor with views of the forest, has a completely separate entrance, and a small adjoining garden, a wooden ceiling, and stone walls. It has a 1.50 x 2-meter double bed and a bathtub.

CORMORÁN
Ground-floor room with individual access without any steps and adapted for people with reduced mobility, countryside views, a wooden mansard roof, a large walk-in shower, a double bed measuring 1.35 by 2 meters, and a sofa bed ideal for a child.

FACILITIES

The hotel has been rebuilt preserving the old stone structure of the village houses. Of the three, two were used as living quarters and one as stables. The largest dates back to 1713.

The beautiful garden of approximately 2,500 m² with its two stone granaries and a small stream provide guests with peace and quiet.

The reception lounge retains its old “lareira” (hearth), where guests can enjoy winter evenings by the warmth of the fire.

There is also a common lounge for guests, ideal for groups or families.

THE DINING ROOM

The hotel has a small dining room built on the ruins of an old oven shared by the entire village, adjacent to the main house, where you can enjoy delicious breakfasts and recharge for the tourist, cultural, or nature visits the area offers its visitors.

Additionally, with advance notice, we have a dinner menu featuring traditional local dishes, highlighting fish and seafood.

THE RECREATION ROOM

An idyllic spot for retreat and meditation. In summer, you can also enjoy the outdoor terrace overlooking the garden and forest.

We have a spacious Recreation Room-Library ideal for groups, where guests can listen to music, watch TV, access the internet, play board games, or simply relax with their favorite book.
