Albergue Arribada (Muxía)

The Arribada Hostel is located in the heart of Muxía’s old town, making it the perfect arrival and departure point for enjoying the town and its charms. It is next to restaurants, supermarkets, banks, shops, and various businesses. A short, pleasant walk takes you to the promenade, the beach, and the Sanctuary of A Virxe da Barca.

Talking about us means referring to a set of concepts that have merged to become the first fully accessible hostel on the Costa da Morte.

In fact, our facilities are the result of a firm desire to offer a universal tourism product, based on the simplicity that entails remaining faithful to the values that define Muxía and its hospitality. Therefore, we work daily to ensure that all types of travelers can enjoy a comfortable stay in an environment that offers the security of modern facilities and friendly service.

All that surrounds us is the sea, and that’s why we want to immerse visitors in that reality that makes us unique and distinct. A reality that intersects with the Camino de Santiago, a path that attracts pilgrims from all over the world every day and turns our small town into a cosmopolitan center where cultures and histories converge.

ROOMS AND BUNK BEDS ALBERGUE ARRIBADA

For this reason, we want to encourage the exchange of experiences and shared experiences within the framework of a stay where each person can choose the option that best suits their tastes and budget: from sharing an innovative room with bunk beds that allows you to fully experience and live the essence of the Camino de Santiago, to enjoying a spacious and bright private studio. Different options that converge in our philosophy: to offer a 360° tourist experience, so that everyone can enjoy the pleasures and values found along the Camino or in the tides that bathe Muxía.

The three floors and basement of the building, completely restored in 2015, that houses the Arribada hostel facilities feature the most modern amenities, integrated into a maritime atmosphere that seeks to recreate the interiors of a ship, but with the use of noble and multifunctional materials that give the whole a friendly and dynamic appearance.

Basement
In the basement, a multipurpose space offers various relaxation options, complemented by a surprising saltwater jacuzzi for your feet. The space is completed with a laundry area with clotheslines and a storage space.

Ground Floor: Reception and Dining Room
The ground floor houses the reception, computer area, vending machines, bathrooms, and a kitchen/dining room available to guests at their leisure.

First and Second Floors: Cabins
The first and second floors house the shared rooms (or cabins, more accurately, cabins), spacious, bright spaces equipped with various amenities, including nine or ten bunk beds with lockers.

Each cabin has a spacious and functional shared bathroom, equipped with sinks, showers, and individual toilets with grab bars (on the right or left).

Third Floor: “Engines and Bridge”
On the third floor are the two private rooms, “Engines and Bridge,” splendid attic spaces that can accommodate up to four people. They offer two single beds, a double sofa bed, a wardrobe, a desk, nightstands, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom.

SECURITY
The facilities have security and video surveillance, and allow guests to enter at night by entering a code.

ACCESSIBLE TOURISM ALBERGUE ARRIBADA

Beyond specific measures such as regulatory compliance, the incorporation of technology (automatic doors, sensors, cranes, etc.), and process quality, we believe that accessibility is a matter of mindset, and that is why we promote and encourage initiatives that allow us to view accessible tourism as something completely normal and desirable, something that must be accepted as something natural, allowing for the convergence of groups and that human contact that is always a plus in any type of tourism product.
